Canine Total Ankle Replacement (TAR)

is a procedure intended to restore normal function in patients with severe, end-stage degenerative joint disease of the ankle (hock). TAR presents an alternative treatment to fusion of the ankle that will allow the patient to function pain free while maintaining a functional joint.

Total Hip Replacement (THR)

is a surgical procedure intended to restore normal function in patients with severe degenerative disease or trauma to the hip that cannot be successfully resolved by other means.  The goal of successful THR is to permanently eliminate pain and restore normal range of motion and function for the lifetime of that patient.

Canine elbow dysplasia

is a complex and often frustrating disease to treat. In its end-stages, complete loss of articular cartilage in the weight-bearing component of the joint (medial compartment disease, MCD) leads to severe dysfunction and pain. A number of joint resurfacing and replacement options exist to help alleviate this pain and dysfunction. Joint resurfacing aims to provide a load bearing surface and restore the collapsed joint space, while elbow replacement options replace the diseased joint surfaces entirely and accurately.

Canine Total Knee Replacement (TKR)

is a surgical procedure intended to restore normal function in patients with severe, end-stage degenerative joint disease of the knee and selected deformities. The goal of successful TKR is to permanently eliminate pain and restore normal range of motion and function for the lifetime of that patient.

Joint resurfacing techniques

are generally employed to treat more localized defects in cartilage surfaces where the most of the joint is healthy and otherwise functions normally. These lesions are usually the result of a developmental cartilage disease called osteochondrosis dissecans (OCD). The canine knee, shoulder and elbow are common sites for resurfacing of OCD lesions.
